Celebrate Good Times...Come On!

So many things have been going on lately!! The day FINALLY arrived, Graduation Day is what I'm talking about. On November 21, 2008 Nicholas Jovan Ervin officially became a Clark County Firefighter!! It was one of the best days of our lives. It was more exciting that both of our college graduations. A 4 year degree was nothing compared to this Academy graduation.
If anybody knows me very well, I do not like to cry. I hate it actually especially if other people are there to see it, but on this special day, I allowed one lone tear to stream down my face - don't tell anyone though.
Nobody really knows what a firefighter recruit really goes through but the recruits themselves. During the graduation they had a slideshow with pictures through out the Academy. It's crazy stuff. They truly are "The Best of the Best". They started out with 32 recruits and ended up with 22. Two females graduated too, I have to give it up to my ladies on this one!! They did everything the men did so props to them, I know my chunky butt couldn't do it!
Here are some pictures from the big day. It was so great that so many people came out to support us. All of our families were there, plus a group of Nick's old co-workers and a few of his fraternity brothers were able to make it and we are truly grateful for everyone who has helped us through these last 21 weeks - which by the way were the hardest 21 weeks of my life. And I have been pregnant twice so that is saying A LOT! He met so many great people while in the academy and we are so proud of all of them for all they accomplished!

The week before graduation they had a Family Night where all the recruits families could come and see the Training center and they ran a couple drills for us to see them in action. It's crazy what these guys do. They also let us play with the firehoses and see the force they have. Of course when the kids did it the hose was not full blast but I wanted to be tough and do it full blast. The first time I tried it caught me off guard and knocked me off my feet a little bit but I of course wanted to prove I could do it so the next time I was prepared. This picture is the hose going full blast and Nick showing that he's not helping me at all. You can't see this but I'm also wearing heels while holding the hose - take that fire fighters!!

That is awesome! I still can't believe you cried. I have known you for quite awhile now and I have only see tears once that I can think of. Triva Question. Can you name the one Time I saw you cry? It is worth Ten Points and you have twenty four hours....STARTING NOW?! Good Luck

I have absolutely no idea when you saw me cry Kyle! It was probably just a piece of dirt in my eye or something that doesn't qualify as a cry, it's more of an eye water. Anyway, you should let me know when the so-called crying incident occurred so I can verify it's truth.

AWESOME! I am so happy for you guys. Is Nick shaking Tom Cruise's hand? Now what? I have been wondering what has been going on with you four.
