I know I haven't posted anything in a while so I thought I'd let everyone know I'm still alive. Ok, so you probably weren't too worried about me but I like the dramatics. I've just been so overwhelmed lately with everything going on that the blog is at the bottom of my list.
So no pictures, I'm sorry to deprive you of the two cutest kids in the world (next to your own of course) but I still don't have the computer and actually haven't taken too many pictures lately. So I thought I'd just give a little update.
Things are still going good for the Ervin Fam. Mia turned 2 on September 21 and she now thinks she's hot stuff and that she can say and do whatever she wants. I think it's funny, Nick doesn't. Kayleb is still crazy. Nick is still in Vegas finishing up his last few weeks of the Academy. Cross your fingers he makes it til the end, they've lost a third of the class but he's staying strong and working so hard. So I'm still playing single mom but I'm pretty used to it now. I don't know if that's good or bad.
Nick's anticipated graduation is November 21 so we are counting down now! No one wants to buy our house still, I mean really, can't someone buy it? Just one person, is that too much to ask for??? So we are still going to stay here for a while and just wait things out and see how they go. I am ready to move to Vegas though that's for sure but it's just still not feasible right now but we're making it through.
So there's my little update of our oh-so interesting lives! The kids are doing great and say the darndest things (remember that show?)
A couple of weeks ago I took the kids to the park, it was starting to get cold so I told them we were leaving in 5 minutes. Kayleb said "I don't want to go" so I said "I'm sure you don't but guess who's in charge? I am." I know I'm so mature. So Kayleb thought about that for a minute then said "Actually Mom, the Government is in charge." So I let him stay a little longer, like I said, I like to reward his thinking skills.
Mia is freakin' hilarious. She was talking back to Nick the other day and he said "Hey, you don't talk to me like that." She says back, "You don't talk to me like that, I don't talk to you like that" So funny, you can't even get mad at her. She also told me that I wasn't her best friend anymore because I wouldn't let her watch a movie in the car. Everyday it's something new with her. I think 2 years old is my absolutely favorite age of kids. They're just learning to complete sentences, they copy everything they hear - which is a problem in my case and they are learning their colors and ABC's. Next we'll tackle potty training!!
So there's my 2 cents for the day, hope everybody else is doing well. Keep praying for us, we need it!!

So many things...Your kids are super smart! Your little guy knows what government is? And Mia talks like crazy. She's only two?! Way to pass on the smart genes girl! I hope someone buys your house. You must be so ready to get your family all back together. Hang in there!
Your so funny-your kids are so funny! Just an all around funny family! How was the big "V" last weekend! You wanted to go to the pumkin festival last weekend, but did you also realize that big Cedar City had a sheep parade last weekend, among other sheep activities. Avery insisted on seeing some sheep so we did make it to a few rounds of the dog herding sheep event. Fabulous....just fabulous! You missed out on that also:)
Oh, Malia! You crack me up. If I have to hear the word "Skidoosh" one more time, I think I will vomit. What the H is a dumpling anyway?
